This book taught me about the incredible realtionship that Rick and Robin built with each other from the crucible of raising kids with special needs. I learned to not worry about what others think and to just do my best. It helped me with my relationship with my wife. The book stays on point without getting technical. Rick speaks from his heart and from experience. I'm inspired to be better.

I got a slow start on this book but once I got into it I really couldn't stop reading. I'm a grandma with no special needs kids in my own family (that have been diagnosed, anyway), and it gave me a greater appreciation for what these parents go through, and the love it engenders in their families. Well, all parents go through hard stuff, and it does bring you closer together, if you can "keep it together"! Thanks Rick, I loved it...and I'm ordering it for my niece and her husband; they have a child who is severely disabled with cerebral palsy. They're already on board with most of your stuff, but I know they will love "meeting" you and will enjoy the entertaining read. Keep up the great work!!

My wife and I loved this book. It has helped us to focus on the things that are most important for our kid. Additionally there are marriage bits that have been super helpful and the way he provides comedic relief has been super helpful to my wife and me. We loved this book and highly recommend it!

My wife purchased this book and I was never a big "reader"... but I rather do audio-books. HOWEVER, I totally loved this book. We don't have a child with special needs but this book should be read by anyone (even if you don't have a kid and are living the single life) because I now have a much greater appreciation for the hoops that families who have "special kids" have to jump through and that makes me want to be a better father to my kid, husband to my wife and be a better friend to those around me... especially those people that I know who have a son or daughter with autism or any other similar struggle.

I love this book. Rick uses humor to address the challenges of raising special needs children. He shares his experience with his own 3 special needs children in a way that brings hope and perspective to others in this same situation.
